Conference on the Age of the Martyrs by the Conference of Spanish Bishops

On Friday October 5, 2007 a confrence sponsored by the National Conference of Spanish Bishops was presented at the Augustinian Pontifical Institute in Rome. The theme was "The Age of the Martys: the Religious Persecution in Spain (1934-1939)". The lecturers were Dr. Andrew Riccardi, Mnsg. Vicente Carcel Orti and Fr. Juan Antonio Martinez Camino. This conference is in anticipation of the 498 Spanish martyrs to be beatified at St. Peter's Square in October 28, 2007. The Beatification has been moved from St. Peter and Paul Out-side-the-Walls Basilica
